Psalm 9:7-12  (NASB) (the original Greek Translation will be in [ ].

psalms 7

Sometimes we think that we do not know why people and nations suffer.  We pray and expect the physical realms to reveal the answers to our prayers – instantly. We become frustrated when we do not see the immediate physical answers to our prayers. because we live within the parameters of time and space, and we live in an instant gratification world. But God does not. He lives outside of time and space. When someone says this is not God’s timing they should really be saying “His Sovereign will be done.”

Humanity lives within a symbiotic relational world.  For every action, there is an equality evident reaction in the physical and or spiritual realms of our lives. We wrestle with stronghold. We will see the innocent oppressed. But we must remember that God is the ultimate judge and not man. We cannot force events to occurs according to our plan and our will.

Many people are suffering in countries, even in the USA. Has God forgotten His people? Are His ears closed to their cry? No! How He chooses to execute His plans for His people is determined by Him and NOT by us.  There are consequences for our actions.  Yes, The consequences may not occur immediately, but they will occur.  Throughout history, God has allowed His people to reap those consequences, and He still carries out His plans for them

We live and reap the consequences of our choices. So, when we cry to God to remove the disastrous consequences of our own thoughts and actions, we must remember that He may be allowing them to happen because we have free will. He may also be letting them happen because they fit within His plans for us.

Think about the world around us. Why are the catastrophic events occurring on every planet? What did we do – humanity that is-? The following people made decisions that resulted in consequences. Look at how the consequences of their choices did not fit God’s plans. However, they did finally participate in the plan that God had for them.

  1. Joseph – bragged about his coat of many colors, and the dreams that God revealed to him.   Because he was bragging and sharing too much information with people who did not understand God’s plan for his life, his brothers sold him into slavery. However, he still became the ruler of Egypt.
  2. Jacob: He cheated and stole Esau’s Birthright : Jacob was cheated by Laban. He learned humility and how to trust in God. Eventually he became wealthy in spite of the cheating and because the father of the twelve tribes of Israel.  Also, the kingly line of Israel came from the tribe of Judah and that is the tribe into which Christ our Savior was born.
  3. Abraham & Sarah: Abram left everything to follow God. God promised him a son. His wife was not willing to wait for God to give them a child. Sarah made her own plans. Hagar cried out to God and He answered her.
    • “Behold, you are with child, And you will bear a son; And you shall call his name[God hears] Ishmael, Because the Lord [has heard]has given heed to your affliction.
  4. God had a specific plan for Abraham and his descendants. But he also told him what would happen to Ishmael and what kind of person he would become.
    • 12 “He will be a wild donkey of a man,His hand will be against everyone, And everyone’s hand will be against him; And he will live [before the face of; or in defiance of]to the east of all his brothers.” What is happening in the Middle East today? Esau’s children are fighting against Jacob’s children. If Sarah had not developed her own plan for having a children the conflict in the middle east today would not exist.

Pray With Confidence and Trust In the Sovereignty of The Lord.
