#Confrontation #SpeakLife #SpeakTruthInLove
We live in a litigious society where people chose to take confrontation to the highest level in society. Here we see Davis who has been attacked by strangers. He has chosen to confront them through the power of the Holy Spirit. He could have chosen the route of gossiping, trash talking, and or name calling. But no this leader of God chose to confront in a Godly manner. We make that choice every day. Tell me, does posting what comes to mind every day, to prove a point, make our concerns go away? Does posting fact about an issue dear to our hearts make it any real for others? Not really. My granny used to say “A man convinced against his will is unconvinced still!” It used to irritate me when she said that. Why? Because I knew that it meant I should be silent, and allow God to resolve the confrontation for me. The rest of this Psalm clearly indicates that David believed that God was his helper.
4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.mine…: Heb. those that observe me6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
