Forget Past Sins. Show that We Care!

#kindness #Charity#Care#Compassion

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. – 1 Peter 4:8 KJV

The Church in Midevil times presented a form of Christianity that showed a symbiotic relationship between philosophy and science. The concept of philosophical scholars, at the time, was the use of thoughts and concept from the earlier Greek philosophers to understand Christianity. Philosopher attempted to show that the Christian faith could be in harmony with reason. Thomas Aquinas said, “If there appeared to be a conflict between philosophy and faith, it was certain that reason had erred somewhere, for the doctrines of the faith were infallible” (Marvin Perry, Myrna Chace, James R. Jacob, Margaret C. Jacob, Theodore H Von Laue. Western Civilization: Ideas, Politics, and Society, Vol. 1:to 1789, Tenth Ed. Boston: Wadsworth, 2013. p 263).

So, what are the thoughts of the day when it comes to Christianity mirroring the care and compassion that seems to have been attributed to socialism rather than to the Lord? Look at what God’s word states. Proverbs 12:10 declares “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.” How well are we adhering to these principles? In our relationships with others are we willing to forgive them of their sins? People will sing against us. After all, they sin against God every day. What would we do if God continually reminded us of our sins from our past? Show care, love, compassion, and forgiveness – even to politicians whom we seem to have given the attributes of GOD! Only God is perfect.

Prayer: Lord God lead us to #growclosertoyou and we are asking you to #TeachUsHowToLove all people #Better.
