Worship Him!

“O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.” Psalms‬ ‭47:1-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We worship Him with our minds, thoughts, and actions.

Prayer: Many times people present prayer as a time one spends on their knees. The reality is that prayer should not be set aside as a ritual one performs only on their knees. Have you ever woke up one morning with a strong desire to just get up and walk? Maybe, just maybe, that was the Holy Spirit urging you to walk and talk with your good,  good Father! Prayer should happen as we live every 24 hours of our lives.

Actions that Denote Praying Him.

  1. Thankfully talking to Him and giving Him praise for the hues of green that I see in the color of the leaves on the trees is something I do as I drive.
  2. Speaking to Him as I read posts about people’s needs while looking at social media and thanking Him for hearing their prayers is worship.
  3. Drawing pictures of His creation and acknowledging Him as the Lord if all creation is worship. Reaching out the helpless in His name is an act of worship. Supporting ministries that are spreading His word is an act of worship.
  4. Strolling through an area where one feels His presence and talking to Him is an act of prayer.
  5. Watching a movie and realizing that real people go through those very same things, then declaring to Him that He should protect them no matter where they are is – prayer.
  6. Sometimes our words fail us and Scripture just come to mind, or a worship song just swirls around in our heads and will not stop until we stop and sing it, then the tears begin to flow and you wonder what is wrong with you-that is worship!

Worship Him as he leads you to worship Him. Even the trees bow down to acknowledge Him as their creator.

Song: Do it Again
