A warm smile, a nod, and a kind handshake are all gestures that change the flow of energy inside a person and generates a feeling of love, compassion, and belonging. Being kind is a decision that we make every second of the day. Social media are the places where one can become something that they are not when they are with people in person. One can hide behind a façade. Now today we can choose to make that façade one of godliness or one that is destructive and supports the wave of fear and intimidation that is pervading almost every nation in the world.
As Christians, we can choose to become part of the problem or a part of the solution. There are threads of isolationism flowing in countries across the globe. How does isolationism match the openness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? I am not saying it is not a problem in many places, but feeding into the fear that is being created does not bring people under the protective covering of the “Almighty!” Another reason why I cannot and will not take part in that type of social awareness is that it is counterproductive to sharing the Gospel. I cannot post hateful statements, newspaper articles, etc., about other people, and then post scripture about the love of God. So, be kind and let God deal with the upheaval that His word indicates will occur at the end times.
2 Timothy 3 King James Version (KJV)
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
