It’s Family Reunion Time Family of God – WORSHIP HIM!

#House #God #Family (Unless otherwise stated all Scriptures used in this devotional are from the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible which is a public domain version of the Bible.)

It is Sunday morning, and millions of God’s people all over the world are getting ready for their weekly family reunion. It is better to spend one day in His house than a life time elsewhere.

FAMILY OF GOD SCRIPTURES

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is (1 John 3:1-2).

Now, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit (Ephesians 2:19-22).

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith (Galatians 6:10).

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another (Romans 12:3-5).

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another (John 13:34). People who genuinely love each other never get tired, fed up or have otherwise negative attitudes toward each other.  Unfortunately, so many of us have come from dysfunctional families that we do not know what it means to love unconditionally.  We love others as we were loved by others.  But now we are a new creation. We must love others as Christ loves us!  That is loving without any parameters attached to that love. Not “I love you BUT!” Rather it should be  “I love you” – with no clarifiers attached!”
