#myLord #myPassover #mySalvation (Unless otherwise stated all Scriptures used in this devotional are from the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible which is a public domain version of the Bible.)
David always used metaphors when he wrote. In this verse, he refers to his God as his deliverer/Divine warrior. David spent a lot of time in caves hiding while he tended to his sheep. He found out that God was his protector. Each Christian across the world today can state that the Lord is also their deliverer and their protector. They build their house on the “firm foundation/rock” Jesus Christ our Lord! Daniel 11:38-39 “But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.”
He is our chief cornerstone. “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit” (Ephesians 2:19-22). As our fortress, our rock, and our chief cornerstone He is our salvation!
Father thank you for sending your Son, your only Son to die in our place and offer us the gift of Salvation.
