Every living thing has an expiration date, BUT GOD!

#AllHumansWereBorn #AtSomePointWeWILLFadeIntoTheSunset

The context surrounding this verse is offered here.

23For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Belief in Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior and confession and receipt forgiveness of sin demonstrates faith. After a Christian’s born-again experience there is a reverence and fear of God. When we choose to sin, God visits us with the consequences of that sin. Repentance of sins after the born-again experience reminds the believer of the assurance, that by faith they are saved from condemnation due to the Blood of Jesus Christ. They are reminded that He is no longer hanging on the cross as a dead Savior, but He is with the Father in His glory  Belief in the resurrected and glorified Lord is the Christian’s assurance for His word proclaims...

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  (Joh 14:3 KJV).

How is that possible when we are such sinful people?  In Romans 7:24-25 (NKJV)Paul cried out…

24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25

Then He answered his own question.

I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

Paul identified that the flesh has a bent toward sin, but his soul and mind goes through the transformation process. He warns us not to …

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

As transformation continues through the word of God planted in the heart by the Holy Ghost we will…

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16 –

The stirring up of our minds by the Holy Spirit as we feed on God’s word leads to
[Sanctification] through thy truth: thy word is truth.  John 17:17

Transformation, justification by faith, and sanctification relieve the mind of a believer because they know that….

24 For, “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, 25 but the word of the Lord stands forever.” Berean Study Bible · Download till it is fullfilled in the gift to eternal life.

That full realization is not experienced until the Christian receives their glorified body

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. I Corinthians 15:53 King James Version

So, don’t be concerned that

because when this flesh of our withers away we will receive a glorified body. A body that is incorruptible and lasts forever.
