Gratitude Day #30 Thankful that the Holy Spirit takes captive my thoughts.

We fight spiritual warfare every single second of our waking hours.  Paul contextualized the immensity of this battle in 2 Cor 10

The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We tear down arguments, and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, as soon as your obedience is complete.…Berean Study Bible

Every day I am aware of my thoughts and my thought patterns.  Every single time that something begins to travel across my mind that should not be the there I feel the “stoplight” of the Holy Spirit stopping it and dashing it from “as far as the east is from the west .” I am grateful for the control that the Holy Spirit has over my thoughts and the fact that I still have the will to be obedient to the tug of the Holy Spirit or not. I have found that “obedience to Christ” saves me a lot of heartaches.

If you are not sure if the Holy Spirit lives in you contact us. We will work with you to arrive at that answer.
