Love, relationships, be like Christ.

#relationships #Christ #Jesus

In our relationships with each other, we must have a Christ-like attitude.

When one makes one’s self nothing, they think about the feelings of others. They think the impact that their actions and words have on others. They NEVER allow themselves to become embroiled in a situation that belittles anyone regardless of whether they like them or NOT. Jesus did not tell us to LIKE one another. He told us to LOVE one another. Now, if I remember correctly, LOVE covers a multitude of sins.

I Corinthians 13 does not tell us to rehearse the wrongs that people have done against us.

  • It does not tell us to MAKE EM suffer for saying something that our egos are bruised about.
  • It does not tell us to take out our self-loathing on others.
  • It does not tell us to use the information we have about a person’s weaknesses and belittle them with it- just look at some of the things people post on FB about politicians and their shortcomings for the entire world to be reminded of–sighs!!

It makes us look petty and unforgiving, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

I love this scripture because it tells me who I am and what I am supposed to be.
