Being Confident in Him!

#HisLoveNeverChanges

Knowing that His word never returns to Him void should give me the confidence needed to believe explicitly in His ability to keep His promises to me. His promise of mercy when I sin. His promise of grace that flowed down from the cross in the form on His son’s blood. And His promises that He is my help in times of trouble. I know so many people who have lost not just a loved one in 2016 but several loved ones.  It is in times like these that our confidence in Him must be steadfast or the enemy will serve up a large plate of depression garnished with anxiety and or with the questioning of His sovereignty over our lives and the lives of our loved ones.  We cannot allow ourselves to becomes embroiled in a spirit of “lack of confidence.” That is the little crack in the armor that the enemy needs to pour in fear, doubt, and anxiousness. Our Good, Good, Father tells us to  “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:6-7 KVJ).  So stand firm and go before our Good, Good Father knowing with full confidence that He has already heard and answered our prayers.

Certainly something that hits home pretty hard. However, questioning God’s decisions about who we lose is difficult to NOT do. Why this person instead of someone else?? However, it’s how you continue to feel and think about God’s decision. I may not have liked His decisions but I would never call into question His love for us. When the questioning finally stops the answers are always “they are no longer suffering”, “they are in a better place”. Still a difficult position to come to when you lose so many in a very short period of time.

It is a huge challenge and He fully understands. It has been a difficult year for me to see people whom I love suffer such intense loss. On Fri, Dec 30, 2016 at 8:48 AM You're Not the Only One wrote:
