“Thus, the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day, God ended his work which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” Genesis 2:1-2
Note, YHWH did not form man on the 7th day of Creation. I have always wondered why. My personal opinion was simply this. We were known and planned from before the foundations of the earth. Now people get their theology all out of sorts when they read the short description of how YHWH created this ball of clay, or they may even be of the Big Bang Theory, yes it was just that – a theory – and insist that it just could not have happened that way. I am sure that is why Paul was inspired to write Hebrews 11. It does that absolute faith to believe that this happened as it did.
It does not take faith to plant seeds in my garden. I know that as long as I water them, they will produce exactly what they should produce. Sometimes I don’t even plant the seeds. I through tomatoes into certain areas of my garden during the winter months. They rot and guess what they produce tomatoes, not oranges, apples, cabbage, squash, or anything other than tomatoes plants. So, what do you think that angels where thinking when YHWH picked us “dust” and started to “‘form’ man of the dust of the ground?”
Verse 7. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
YHWH knew that his newly formed man would need a place to live as well as a place where he provided nutrients for him to eat. He knew his creation well.
Verse 8. And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:7-9).
Paul also told the Corinthians that “But if any man [love] God, the same is known of him” (1 Corinthians 8:3 KJV). As each of us walks through our lives, we must know that YHWH is with us.
That we were/are intimately known by him.

- Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you a prophet to the nations.” What? Before my parents were even born, God knew that I would be here? Pretty much. Ok… Let’s go back to a time in space and our existence that we can wrap our minds around. Before my parents knew each other, God knew that I would be their child and HIS! :O
- Romans 8:29 For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. God even knew that I was going to become a Christian. I cannot imagine this concept. When I was a younger Christian and looked back on what I endured, I used to ask, “Then why did He allow all of that stuff to happen to me?” There is no testimony without a test.
- Romans 11:2, “God did not reject His people, whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says about Elijah, how he appealed to God against Israel:” Israel was always a part of the plan of God. He had to give them a regiment to follow because they refused to follow him. Just imagine the freedom that knowing Jesus brought to us.
- Galatians 4:9 KJV “But now, after that, ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?” Is it easier for us to operate in bondage or to live a “freed” children of God? Someone told me this morning that we must remain in bondage for us to be free. Is that not circular reasoning? Thank you, Jesus, for the freedom that you have given me.
Prayer; Lord I acknowledge your knowledge of me and my existence before I even accepted you as my Savior. There is NO other door to YHWH. You are the only door through which I can walk to gain eternal life. Thank.
