You Are Not the Only One

God has issues with the UNGODLY!

This lesson is about what we say and what we do and what God calls those actions. 

16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? 

When our actions speak wickedness God does not want us to even pretend that we are His children by speaking His words. WHY?

17Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

If we were listening to what He tells us in His words, we would not do any of the actions below.

•  18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
• 19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
• 20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.

Our words are deceitful, filled with lies. We say slanderous things against our brothers in Christ and even our own family members.

21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

But because God chose to allow us to reap what we have sown with our mouth and actions by refraining from immediate physical judgment, “but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.”  2 Peter 3:3-10  ^“But when the Day of God’s Judgment does come, it will be unannounced, like a thief. The sky will collapse with a thunderous bang, everything disintegrating in a huge conflagration, earth and all its works exposed to the scrutiny of Judgment.”

22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

This is a serious edict against us when our behavior of lies, deception, trash talking about ANYONE. Stealing their reputation, and making God look like a God who lies and is hateful to people. He is saying “I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.” No one can ever prevent God’s judgment against us from coming to past. It may not happen right away,BUT it will happen! Why will HE tear us to pieces? Well, we are making God look bad! As a parent how do you feel when your children embarrass you in public? Well, that is how God feels too. But it is even worse than that! He DOES NOT WANT TO HEAR US claim that we are praising Him when our mouths are defiled!
