The Family of God.

#TheFamilyOfGodLovesALLPeople even #NONChristians

Today of all days of the week we will have an opportunity to “Be Jesus” to someone. Maybe a stranger comes to our place of worship, or a member whom we have never spoken to will need one simple act of kindness. I remind myself daily that how I love others reflect how I believe I am loved! I cannot give love unless I know what love is. I will not know what love is until I have experienced love! So, will you join me today by “showing love to at least one person in your place of worship today?” – We are all a part of the Family of God!

John 1:12 ESV But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,

Love is an action verb. God shows us that in  1 John 3:1-2 ESV “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. ” Therefore, Ephesians 2:19-22 ESV proclams that we “are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”  Because of this the declaration in Galatians 6:10 ESV solidifies the type of actions our Heavenly Father should see in our daily lives “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” As living examples of God’s love we must be willing to show what 1 Corinthians 12:26 ESV tells us that we ought to do and be “ If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.”  Finally, The Lord did not leave us without insructions. Note in John 13:34 ESV He left us a simple directive. There is no if, and or but at the end of this directive. There are no clarifying statements, there are no indicators of exceptions to the rule, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”

Can you imagine Jesus being so angry with the Father that He refuses to commune with Him? NOPE! Therefore, so shall I live-that is my on-going daily prayer! Have a wonderful spirit filled Family Reunion Day!
