Freedom is Never Free-Someone has to pay the price!

#ThePriceWasPaid

When one determines that love and equity are the words to live by they know that going up against the system has a price! As we travel through history we have learned that freedom was and will never be free! Someone has to pay the price for change to occur! TY Dr. King and your family for keeping the dream alive. All of humanity should live as you did. You grew closer to God and you loved ALL people better. Then you took your lifestyle to the streets to show all Americans how to grow closer to God and love ALL people better! Dr. King took the Shamah seriously

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:30-31 NET)

When Dr. King stated

“But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred” [1]

he believed in acquiring freedom through love. “Bitterness and hatred” are permeating this nation at a rapid rate. We are a nation of Christians. Let us live by what Scripture commands us to do…

Hebrews 12:14-15 declared “ Pursue peace with all men, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.  Be careful that no one falls short of the grace of God, so that no root of bitterness will spring up to cause trouble and defile many. ” (Berean Study Bible).

Jesus Christ died to set us free from the fear and worry that develops into bitterness and hatred. Scriptures about freedom and our use of it.

  1. For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Gal 5:1 ESV [2]
  2. For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Gal 5:13
  3. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. 1 Pet 2:16.
  4. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

Do not allow the politics of the times and the conditions of the human spirit to strip you of the kind of freedom that God prophesied through Isaiah and fulfilled in the birth, death, and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; Isa 61:1

The enemy has a spirit of condemnation. He creates the “root of bitterness” that divides. It starts with a little seed. Then the root grows down into our souls and buries itself in our spirit. Now that it is firmly established the stem emerges in the form of thought of bitterness. The thoughts produce leaves of bitterness that see every injustice as something that should be spoken about with words of fear and hatred that leads to destructions of relationships. This process has perfected itself when it produces the kind of fruit that we see on the news and on social media where one sees only the bitterness and dark side of every comment that a person makes.

One wants to condemn, and or justify the behavior of persons who are – compared with Scripture, not speaking words of love. Fear and dread become our thought process and bitterness and hatred -even though we will NOT admit it, becomes our continual response to everything and everyone that threatens our perceptions of freedom. But Scripture declares that a child of God has…” no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” Ro 8:1-4. The very Son of God was murdered – if you view historical documents of the law codes of the times all proceedings of the trial of Jesus Christ was in violation of those laws. Pilate said it “I see no wrong….” But envy, bitterness, and hatred won – or thought that it won – that day- and the Son of God was murdered! But His murder was necessary for us to receive freedom.

Dr. King continued,

I have a dream that one day ‘every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.’

[Here Dr. King was citing Scripture Isa 40:3-5 KJV.]

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

All flesh has not seen the glory of the Lord yet.  Dr. King continued.

This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day. [3]

Can we hope and believe as Dr. King did that “True freedom-spiritual freedom will come to all flesh, all people? That we will see a time when all who proclaim the name “Jesus” will grow closer to God and love people better? When all people who make the declaration of faith will be willing to stand for “freedom” for all people and live lives that demonstrate the Shammah. If you are concerned about the things that you are seeing in our current culture and it is impacting your spirit contact us.  Let’s talk through the kinds of things that you can do to allow the Holy Spirit to free your mind to live and love as our Heavenly Father wants you to live and love.
