Not Partial-God is—-

#unworthy #unclean  #beneathus ? #impartial

God loves every nation and people group equally. He has no favorite and wants all people to come to know Him. The Almighty is not color blind. He created all of us and loves all of us. Well, we say to ourselves – to justify our behavior-, He can’t love the murderer, the abortionist, the drug trafficker, the human trafficker, sexual deviant, etc. That is what we think. The reality is He is not a respecter of persons. He will use any and every scenario to give people access to the truth of His love and compassion for all people.

He told Peter to kill and eat. Not people, but unclean meat that represented the Gentile nations. Jews did hit associate with non-Jews during Peter’s time. It would have made them “spiritually unclean.” They thought that Gentiles polluted the land. They felt that they -the descendants of Israel-were special and should not mix with or even be in the presence of Gentiles. Gentiles were beneath them. Peter and the nation of Israel were spiritual isolationists. So, should we be likewise today? Should we shun the “incorrigibles of this world?” Peter answered God with a full unacceptance of all people response.”no way” but God answered, 5 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.”

Peter met with Cornelius and finally understood God plan “And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company or come unto one of another nation, but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean” (verse 28). All over the world people groups are becoming separatist in their outlook. They want their nation to be just for the majority people group. Will this attitude hinder the gospel of Jesus Christ from being share with “non-citizens, non-original settlers, non-majority people?” I believe that it will.

We are rapidly approaching the time of the end. How Christians relate to non-Christians will determine how unchurched people will be willing to listen to us. Here is the thing  “do I have a fearful attitude toward any people group?” Even worse, “do I share information that spurs others to be afraid of sinners?”  Am I so fearful that I have forgotten that God is my protector, and my stronghold-I should not be fearful? When I allow fear to spur my mind into action, the action will NOT be within the sphere of God’s plan. Just read the book of Chronicles. Every time a king of Israel acted out of fear, the result was a disaster.

Remember that God has a simple plan The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV).

Every day I ask myself this question, “How is my behavior, the words I say, the words I type, and the things I share adding to the atmosphere of fear and hate that is permeating this world? How would a non-christian view my posts? How can I use social media to further the Kingdom Mission of God Almighty? What kind of an impartial attitude am I displaying on all of my social media platforms? Am I sowing seeds of division or am I sowing seeds of unconditional love? It is not human to step out unto what appears to be the unknown. It takes faith to love even our enemies, but that is what the Lord taught, and expects, us to do. How are you doing in this time of social upheaval? Is the tide of hatred, partiality, separatism, and ugliness, sucking you into the black hole of “hate your enemy at all cost?” Scream out to Jesus He will help you.

Prayer: Lord, I know that you command me to love even during a time of social unrest. My heart yearns for your return, but in the meantime, I want to be who you would be at this time in human history.  Strengthen me to love impartially and without fear – just like you – Selah!
