This world is filled with fear-mongering and darkness. Child of Christ are children of the Light. Why? John 8:12 (KJV) states ‘ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.‘ We are children of light. Darkness cannot live where the light shines. 

1 John 1:5-7 (KJV) “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 

We live in a day and age where everything we post is read by thousands, if not millions of people. What do we want them to say about Christ? We are the only Christ that an atheist, Muslim, Hindu, or Buddist will see. So, what are we showing them? Hatred and darkness? No, we are children of light. So, choose to be light. 

Prayer: Lord, look into our hearts and shine the 100 megawatts power of your Holy Spirit into places we do not look. Fill our speech, and posts with the light of your word. WOrds to edify and uplift not to bring down. Make our posts part of the solution rather than the problem in your name sake-Selah
