Have you ever heard someone say, “My sins are too great for God to forgive them?” Or, “I know that God because I had an abortion. Friends have told me that they were shocked to hear someone say that. Just know that nothing shocks God. Even a mass murderer will receive forgiveness. Why? He knows the murderer better he/she knows themselves. The Bible says, “Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13). You see, although God knows all about us and what we’ve done, He still loves us! God cares deeply about each of us and doesn’t want us to continue wasting our lives. Nor does He want anyone to enter eternity without hope. Why spend another day apart from God? Just confess your sins and your need for God’s presence in your life today. Then trust His promise of both forgiveness and a new life in Him. You need both—and Jesus Christ stands ready and willing to give them to you. Just ask him to.
