Where am I going to step next?

#ManPlans # GodPlansAndExecutesThePlan

Have you ever wondered what you should be doing next? WHat is the next step in my life? Where do I serve next? How do I use my skills to help my community? Each morning I try my best to do a prayer walk. A minimum of 1 mile each day. During this walk, I pray for the people who have made prayer requests. I pray for direction for myself and this ministry. I pray for the Lord to speak to me and direct my path specifically in ways that I can bless my community using the skills and abilities that He has given me.

This morning was no different.  David states “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me…..”Psalm 34:4 KJV. Normally when I take this walk I ignore everyone around me. This morning was different.

A couple of friends drove by and slowed down. Remember I was asking the Lord to answer a specific question that I have asked Him for quite sometime now. They talked to me about an opportunity to serve my community using my skills.  Skills that the Lord certainly orchestrated from the first step I made on the campus of Brooklyn College. I listened to them carefully s they explained the scenario. I went back home and ask I walked down my long driveway I asked the Lord if this was an answer to the questions and prayers that I have asked Him.  You see I know that my steps are ordered by the Lord. I made a decision some years ago without asking Him first. I have never done that before. I have no idea where my head was when I made that work decision. Within a few weeks, I knew I had made an error.

So, what is it that you want to do that you believe the Lord is prompting you to do? Or do you think that you can make your own plans without seeking His guidance?  Will you allow Him to chart the course of your life? Will you allow Him to direct how and with whom you plan to spend the rest of your life? WIll you allow Him to decide your career path? When He establishes you no one can remove you from that place of favor.  In Psalm 34:8 (KJV) The psalmist writes “taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
