I am not who I was!

Sometimes we struggle with the fact that people don’t see us for who we are now! We have no control over their thoughts. We must accept the grace that we are living under now and learn to forgive them for what they did to us!

I know that some folks are probably sick and tired of me writing about forgiveness and love. But here is what I know unforgiveness, pain, and hurt have a devastating impact on our psyche and our health. John Hopkins wrote an excellent explanation about this topic. Charles Stone’s comprehensive work on this topic is also well worth reading.

20 Scriptures about Forgiveness

What we can control.

Colossians 3:13 declares “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”KJV

  1. We can control our thought life.
  2. We can control how deep we allow hurtful actions to impact us.
  3. We can control our prayer life and Bible study habits that will erase the hurt.

What we cannot control.

  1. Anything that another person thinks, feels, or refuses to accept!

Remember that

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.Ephesians 2:8-9  (KJV)

Your Heavenly Father sees you as you are and still loves you-me too. Listen to this song and think about the importance of inner peace!

Morality is an issue..

We cannot get rid of moral filth by ourselves. It takes the application of Holy Spirit radiation therapy-namely the blood of Jesus. Then intravenous feeding on the Word of God will heal our hearts and minds! Saved by the blood and empowered by the Holy Spirit we will think right. Then those thoughts will become actions!

#GrowingclosertoGod and #learninghowtolove people better requires submission to His will!
