Do you have an “Impossible Mission?”

#TheGodOfTheImpossible

#NothingUsTooHardForGod

Life has its challenges but when we are faced with situations that seem to be impossible that is when we must rely completely on Him! During these instances, we are forced to pray boldly and rely on His power to unleash itself in our lives. Matthew 19:26 NIV declared that

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

We can prayerfully declare “Thank you, Father, for being the God of the Impossible.!”

Every day, when we open our eyes, we begin our mission which is to carry the Gospel to every person who is seeking a relationship with our Lord! Each of us is conducting mission impossibles every day. Why? This world is a mess and filled with impossibilities, BUT GOD specializes in impossibilities. His word never returns to him void!

We are the physical representatives of the Kingdom of God! As we show our trust in Him by sharing our stories with others the Kingdom is glorified!

Jeremiah was faced with the destruction of Israel as they knew it! The leaders refused to listen to him. He cried out to YHWH

““O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!” Jer ‬ ‭32:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

He believed that God would have a solution for the problem He was facing! Paul, who went through beatings, torment, Roman imprisonment, constant attacks by religious people who were determined to undermine and uproot every church that he planted,  sent the Ephesians a message of encouragement and a declaration of the reconciliation and unity that existed in Christ.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ NIV

The church in Ephesus must have needed a reminder as to who the “Head” of the big “C” church was and still is. KKQ proposes that the letter was written to not only emphasize the unity of the church, but it was also written to the “distinctive Christian ethics” that existed in the church as well as a strong reminder for them to be “vigilant [ or always aware of the] spiritual warfare that all Christians were engaged in on a daily basis (610). Why does this present itself and an impossible mission? The church was set in the midst of a culture that was filled with idol worship and paganism. The unity of the Trinity – which in itself is an impossible concept for people to comprehend – even today. 1+1+1=3 not 1 is not a mathematical construct that many of us can grasp. But Paul presents it as the unified Godhead in its Godness! One cannot conceive this construct with the understanding of the Holy Spirit and without faith. It is impossible for people to be unified as the Godhead is unified, but with the Holy Spirit within us “The Body of Christ” universal can stand as a united from against the forces of evil. Try to explain the “Trinity: to a nonbeliever and one will realize how impossible a task that is. This Scripture speaks to the unlimited power that God has embodied within Himself. There isn’t a single thing that we could possibly conceive or ask that He cannot accomplish.

A personal story. Many years ago I had a pain on the right side of my right breast.  It was not a simple pain it was very intense. Anything touching that area, including clothing, sent spasms of pain throughout my body. I went to see my GP. He did a breast exam and was certain that I had a huge lump in my breast. I had an MRI and the lump presented itself as a tumor. The doctor scheduled a biopsy to determine if the lump was cancerous or not.  I will state that I have fibroids in both breasts and also my uterus.

I had a complete hysterectomy to remove the problem from my uterus and to handle the issue of blood that I had  like the womon in the story Mark 5:24-35 NET

5:24 Jesus went with him, and a large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 Now a woman was there who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years. 26 She had endured a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet instead of getting better, she grew worse. 27When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,28 for she kept saying, “If only I touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 At once the bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. 30 Jesus knew at once that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched my clothes?” 31 His disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing against you and you say, ‘Who touched me?’” 32 But he looked around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, with fear and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him and told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” 35 While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue leader’s house saying, “Your daughter has died. Why trouble the teacher any longer?”

I was never without a menstrual cycle. Which is a huge challenge for someone who has an inherited chronic anemia (Thalassemia) problem! I trusted God to take care of my anemia and to keep me safe during the surgery and post-surgery. You see they always had a hard time waking me up from anesthesia. My body hates chemicals of any kind. Back to my breast miracle.

Breast cancer runs in my family so the doctor was certain that I had breast cancer. I called upon the name of the Lord and my church family began the prayer vigil for my health.  On the day of the biopsy, I stood at the x-ray machine praying that they would not be able to find the lump. The doctor looked at me and ask  “Ms. Gerald-which breast did the doctor see the lump?” I said the right breast, sir. He responded with “But there is nothing there!” He did a xray of the left breast and noticed a mass there. He said he was going to do a biopsy on that mass instead. Now, I knew that I was healed of what was probably breast cancer in my right breast. I have life-threatening environmental allergies and a breathing issue that was exacerbated by perfumes, and cleaning products that everyone used in their homes. I could never walk anywhere near detergents in the supermarket.  That is the reason why I had to change my home and made ti green by purchasing Amway products.  We became Amway distributors just so help me become healthy and to make our home green.

Back to the biopsy.  The results of the mass in my left breast came back as an encrust cyst. They also confirmed that the other masses in my left breast were simply huge fibroids. I jumped for joy and so did the members of my congregation. I was placed on an annual mammogram routine and to this day I still do not have any signs of cancer. This incident occured in 1994.  Every year I go for a breast examination and a mammogram. I remain cancer free. I still have anemia. Unless God heals me of thalassemia it will remain my thorn in the flesh. That in conjunction with fibromyalgia and asthma makes for an interesting life. God majors in the impossibile and minors in the improbable. There is nothing that is too hard for Him to handle. There isn’t a single thing that you or I could possibly experience that he does not have an answer for. Are you will to hand your impossible situation to Him? We can talk about it. And He will reveal the solution to you!
