Unreleased anger will manifest itself either physically, as in health problems. Or spiritually as in distance from God. Unlived spiritual disciplines or emotional turmoil! We do not have to live in a state of fear, panic, and anxiety. Seek Him Alone or with help from a pastoral counselor! Remember that ““Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Proverbs 30:5 NIV
Don’t allow anger and the thoughts associated with it to control your mind and actions in a negative way. That is when sin creeps in.
“Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart.” Job 22:22 NIV
We may not be willing to admit that we have allowed anger to destroy precious relationships. It takes humility to go back and seek forgiveness. But it is necessary. It is also necessary to find out why anger is your immediate reaction to conflict. Accept instruction from the Lord. He will show you how to be angry without committing a sin! Accept His instruction to forgive and be forgiven and the anger that destroys relationships will go away. For some of us, it takes time and it takes counseling. But I promise you it will go away. Trust Him-anger by and of itself is not a bad thing. It becomes an issue when it is the only emotion that you have when responding to every situation in your life. Allow the cool refreshing water of the Holy Spirit to calm you down. When we do it feels like being in a spiritual spa.
Just contact us and let’s talk about how to be angry and sin not.
