Open the door and become His Bride!

Have you ever visited a friend with the anticipation of the time that you will spend together? Well, that is how Jesus feels towards persons who do not know Him as their friend or personal Savior. He wants to come into the home of your soul-the empty place that God put into each of us when He created us.

John 7:37 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.'” 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified. NAS

The word “innermost being” is the Greek koilos, meaning hole or empty place.  In John 7, Jesus is describing a spiritual empty place in the heart of man. This empty place thirsts for the divine connection between God and ma. In Psalm 42:1 David declared “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.” WHen a person opens the door and Christ enters into their lives the hunger and thirst are abated by His presence.  As the individual feeds on the Word of God they are eating with Jesus. Of course, there is that time to come when the bride of Christ will enjoy the marriage supper of the Lamb slain from the foundations of the earth. Rev 19:6 describes the “And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” So, open the door friend and become the Bride of Christ!
