It takes 2 to tango!

By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. Proverbs 22:4 (KJV)

The Soul: This Tiny, Fragile, Vulnerable, Precious Thing About You by John Ortberg, from Soul Keeping:
Our soul is very fragile and when we surf the web and look for memes on FB to agree with unresolved conflicts in our lives instead of HOW God would handle those unresolved conflicts we can do damage to this fragile thing.
It is not something that man and or his thoughts can inspire or heal. That is God’s job! Of course, that construct only applies to an individual if they are Christian and are actively putting EVERYTHING into God’s hand and leaving it there for Him to solve.

  1. I had a little situation yesterday and I had to remove myself from the place of occurrence and go to a quiet place where I could talk to my Father, that was my car. It was hot in there, but I needed Him to fix that area of my soul where His grace and Peace resided.
  2. I needed Him to put the Holy Spirit bandage on the emotional cut that I had received.
  3. Then I needed his to restore my joy. And He did.

We determine how much and for how long stuff encircles our soul. Every single time that we dig up the hurt and reinstitute it with “crap” on social media we are in effect telling God that He cannot handle it.    Just being real, because I have had to be real about things that have happened in my own life.

Take the high road. None of us are perfect and conflict does not occur between only 1 person. It takes 2 to tango. If we want the dance to end one must let go, and stop dancing. It takes being humble and having a true fear of the Lord to let go of the hurts of life. I must strive to honor God with my life and in my relationships with others. Forgive, let it go, and forget the hurt! Tell the enemy that he is under the feet and Jesus. Don’t allow him to rear up his ugly head in our relationships with others. Be honest in your communications with each other. Yes, being honest will hurt, sometimes both of you. But if you have a real Godly friendship it will survive.
