Who are we and what do we do?

I hope that you had a great God family gathering this morning. Remember that the church is not a building. It is not the people who come to the building on Sunday and Wednesday. It is not about programs, gatherings, or events. It is about relationship building. That is what society is starving for. True relationships that accept people as they are and loves them regardless of who and or what they have done, or have been.
WHY? Because God looked at us in our sinful state and became man, “But when the appropriate time had come, God sent his Son, born by a woman, born under the Law”( Gal 4:4 ) so that we could become blameless!! God led David to write, “Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways! You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently. Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! ” (Psalm 119:1-176 ESV ).  Obedience to God’s will is our lives makes us blameless.  This song depicts what our lives are like and what they can become.

We must extend the same grace that God has extended to each of us to every single person who walks through the doors of our congregations. The church is not about our families, relatives, or even our friends. The church is a place for the broken to feel that they have found a new family who will love them as God loves them! Who will love them seven days of each week and not just on Sunday morning?  If we are not willing to do that then we will not be able to have a congregation that is organically connected to the kingdom of God. Our congregations will become social clubs that meet on a regular basis, but we will not develop as the family of God here on earth. When a person seems as if they are just lost and have nowhere to turn. We the church should be there for them. That is how we worship God.
