Praise Him – even in the storm!

I am so glad that I went to church this morning regardless of how my body felt. “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching Heb 10:25”

The worship was spirit led and spirit filled. I am not just talking about the songs, you could definitely feel the presence of the Lord all over the place “O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” (Psalm 96:9).
I know that many of us have significant health challenges, but I promise you that when you praise Him through the storm that is raging in your life He blesses you. (Mark 4:35-5:1). Praise Him anyhow.

  1. When your soul feels heavy, praise Him anyhow (John 12:27-29).
  2. When your heart is shattered, praise Him anyhow. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you” (Isaiah 43:1).
  3. When you feel like you just cannot take any more, praise him anyhow. “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies”( 2 Corinthians 4:8-10).
  4. When a gold nugget is dug up from the ground you know that you have something in your hand that is priceless. But it actually looks pretty ugly. However, when that same ugly looking pieces of gold, that looks worthless, is placed in the hands of the refiner it begins it change its form and substance. When the refiner is finished with it, it doesn’t look anything like it did in the first place.  “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness” “(Malachi 3:3). That is us!

We can smile and allow the Holy Spirit to flow through up to others. We can actually enjoy the worship of the Lord and experience Him in ways that we cannot imagine, even in the storm. Amen?
