Dwelling together

Psalm 133 A song of ascents. Of David.

1 How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!
2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.
3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore.
As I was sitting in church today I thought about something that Pastor Mike said. We are all ministers – we are all called to minister to others. So, here is my question to all of us. Over the last year how many times have you invited someone who is NEW to your church to your home so you can get to know them one-on-one?

When church is over who does your family minister to? No I am not talking about AWANA, or Youth Church, of Bible Study or Sunday School. I am talking about one-on-one or one family to a stranger relationship building.

Churches are all about building relationships….but it is not the responsibility of the pastor to build relationships among the congregation – it is the responsibility of each person. Saying, hi to someone on Sunday morning does not a relationship make!

If you lead a group of people within a congregation-how many of those people do you associate with outside of your leadership role? Something to think about huh?
