Countless Opportunities to Spread the Word of God

Several times this last couple of weeks I have found myself back in the hospital or someplace similar. The first time I was admitted for extreme swelling to both legs all the way up to my hips. The intake nurse and I were talking and just in passing she asked what I did for a living and tada! Perfect opportunity to spread the word. I told her about the blog and she was tickled to death. She asked me if I would write down the url address and I told her I could do one better than that. So I dug out a card and gave her one. Then she asked if she could have a few more as she knew several people who needed to read this as well. Needless to say I was delighted and even gave her some of the new tracks that we have had made for the people who have not yet gave their life to Christ.

The second time was at another establishment and a similar situation. As the lady and I were exchanging small talk she asked me what I did for a living. Hehehehehe I love it when they do that. So I explained to her that I was an author on a Christian blog. She then explained to me that she taught a bible study group and what they were teaching this week was laying things of the past at the feet of Jesus and walking away as a new work of Jesus. If you look at the posts that Em has done in the last couple of weeks you will see that is exactly what she has been teaching on. Isn’t it fabulous when the Lord allows us to be a part of His plan? Praise Your Name Father!

What I find most fascinating is that in every instance, and EVERY single time you have ended up in the hospital you have had a divine appointment with someone. EVERY single time. Someone who was in emotional and or spiritual stress and did not know what to do; or, they knew someone who was in extreme emotional stress and did not know what to do.

I have said it over and over and over again, and I have seen people negate that statement. God will use whoever, whenever, wherever, whatever, and however to reach 1 single person with his gospel. I have seen him send people to the far regions of the earth to spread his word so that 1 person can hear it. 20 years later that one person has changed the lives of hundreds. Just read the book Fox Book of Martyrs. Read about the missionaries who have gone to the jungles of South America never to be seen again. Then read about the same area today and who heard the word because of that one person.

In our own lives he uses situations and circumstances to get and keep our attention. There is no shame is admitting to that. The shame comes when we refuse to see the teachable moment, and miss an opportunity for growth, and sharing his grace with others.

It’s great when life interactions connect with what the Lord uses to feed us, huh? Praising God for your personal ministry victories, Wynette.

I have come to the realization that my part in the Great Word of the Lord is to simply carry his message. I don’t need to do awesome miracles. I don’t need to part the seas. I just need to be open to the connections that He has put before me and make sure that I am open and willing to put my hand out and offer the other person the chance at salvation. And that is a wonderful job as far as I am concerned. Thank you Father for using me to carry your word forth into the world!

Not a surprise to me on any of the past couple “episodes”, Wyn. I’ve seen you in action and after the initial encounter with your “abilities” and being a bit nervous at what I saw, nothing that you do now surprises me. You have some uncanny abilities and the greatest of which is your love of life and how it shows through even when I’ve seen you in great pain…..that’s usually when someone comes along for you to minister to. It’s always a wonderful opportunity to watch and it’s amazing at the responses you get!!
