The Lord’s Protection (91:1-13)
A. In 2021 be as confident in WHO GOD IS TO YOU as you are to HIM
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge (through anything and everything my refuge: place of rest) and my fortress: (1 Peter 1:5 He keeps us secure and safe in His arms) my God; in him will I trust. Why do you trust Him? Answer this question for yourself and them write this verse down, and your answer as to why you trust Him, on something. Decorate it. Now place it somewhere where you will see it every day. When the threat of violence, the virus that is currently permeating the earth, begin to make your feel threatened, read it aloud and remind yourself who Yah is to you-personally.
B. Regardless of the dangers that may persist or be around your
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
Currently we are all facing a danger that may very well take our lives. We all know someone who took the chance and went out unprotected and lost their lives. I am sure that you are asking yourself why didn’t God protect them. The reality is that we could have protected ourselves by following precautions. SO follow the precautions and while you are out as Yah to protect you:
- from the unseen dangers
- from the onslaught of daily living
- from the never ending attacks of the devil
- from seen dangers over which you are physically powerless
- from financial ruin – continue to build your own list here and pray for protection from those things too.
Way that Yah can protect His children
- 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee
- .8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
- 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;10 There shall no evil befall thee,
- neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
- 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
- 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
- 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Yah’s promise to us.
Why will Yah promised to protect us?
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Have you set your heart upon the Lord this Day? today is a day that began with the sun shining. It is also a day that began with the SON of God shining his light of love out to you. WIll you accept his love and protection? will you dayy upon him to forgive your of your sins and accept him as your lord? WIll you ask him to forgive him becuase you have put just about any nd everything in first place in your life instead of him? just seek his forgiveness, and ask him to strengthen and uphold you as you focus on his kingdom work instead of all of the many things that prevent us from reaching to others in his name.
Wait upon Him to bless, direct, guide, and fulfill His will in your life. He is not slack when it comes to His promises to us. We just don’t always understand what that is. I have made that same mistake.
