You Are Not the Only One

Dear Abba,

Today, I thank You and ask You to be the source of victory in my life. I put my hope in You and praise You for Your unwavering support. Lord, as the Psalmist asks, “‘Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; help of my countenance and my God.‘ Psalm 43:5 NKJV.

Abba, this verse reminds me to place my hope in You, because You are the source of my strength and comfort. Sometimes, I forget that I, and I put my absolute trust in people. Psalm 73:26 NKJV.

Abba, it has been, and still is, a challenging year. Thank You for bringing me back from the abyss of circular reasoning and into the “Joy of the Lord is [which] my strength..” That is the reality of my walk with You. Glory! Psalm 32:11 NKJV.

Abba, I know that the Holy Spirit stops me and tells me to be still because He is working on what concerns me. Sometimes, that is hard for me because I want an immediate reaction to a situation or circumstance. But I am grateful for the times when Your patience and guidance have led me to a [specific blessing/guided me to the right person]. Thank You, Abba, for being patient with me and doing what is best for me, despite me.

Abba, may Your banner of love wave over me, my work, and my life so that You receive all glory, not me. You always bring me back to Your house of praise, and Your love for me never fails. Song of Solomon 2:4 NKJV.

Abba, You bring love, joy, and victory into my life. Please help me share Your love and the promise of eternal life with others, and be a beacon of Your grace and hope in this dark, dark world where human life is worth nothing to so many people. Abba, I know that Your joy is my strength Nehemiah 8:10, and I am grateful for that strength.

Abba, I also pray that the children of Jasper County will all come to know You as their Lord. I pray that You will inspire those who do know You to share Your love with their classmates, because children are living in an unprecedented time of danger and uncertainty. They need to know that the almighty creator of all things loves them and is their protector. I don’t worry about them because I know that You love them, Abba. Send your covering angel army to cover every building where children are being taught today and inspire their teachers to pray for their charges, too, because education is a great thing. Still, education without Jesus is just on the fringe of knowing – it is not truly knowing who they are at the core of their being, and the marvelous gift of love, and the immense power of the Holy Spirit.

Today I have another meeting, Abba, and I am praying that Your will be done. I am tired and quite frankly at a loss for words. If my understanding is the obstacle, remove it, so clarity and flow can return to the work we do. Let all be done for Your glory! Abba, I pray all these things in the power and might of the Holy Spirit, and in the loving name of Your Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.
