Gratitude Day #14 I am thankful that God’s blessings are everlasting.

When I think of the price that was paid for me and the mere fact that all I have to do is “Love the LORD my God and walk in obedience to him.. and keep His commandments” It is not much for Him to ask of me. Because His promise of blessings and increase are not rhetorical statements. No, they do not just apply to the Old Testament (OT) children of Israel. James 1:25 declares the same promises.

But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Paul in Phil 4:19  reiterates the same promise of blessings.

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Not to forget the spiritual blessings that come from obedience to God. Ephesians 1:3  presents a clear picture of that blessing.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ

Finally, I am thankful for the fact that even in my imperfections He continues to bless me with friends who love me, and family who cares about me, and the richness that comes from feeding on His precious word. I am thankful for the gift of eternal life!
