Saved completely

“Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:25 NIV
I AM GRATEFUL THAT HE SAVES COMPLETELY.

When one has a “born again” experience they are saved completely. Their speech changes; their heart changes; their thoughts changes, and their love for God and others changes. Forgiveness is no longer a nice idea; it is a way of life! Yes, we will slip and makes mistakes, but that is why he intercedes for us. However, that is not an excuse for inexcusable behavior. We cannot commune with distrust, hate, vengeance, division, and confusion and insist that the Holy Spirit dwells in us. Remember my dear friends that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers.

It gives the devil great pleasure when he sees the children of God at each other’s throats. We do not DO church or GO to church, we are the church 7 days per week.  Remember that the devil goes to and fro on the earth looking for discord among the brethren. Do not give the devil a chance to dance the victory dance before the throne of God.  Each time that we treat each other disrespectfully that is exactly what he is doing.

Remember that when you are saved you are “save completely”.  You do not have to fear the devil.  But your thoughts, words, and actions must demonstrate that you are indeed saved.  Then when you sin, and you will, and the storms of life rage against you, you have some who will, “because he always lives to intercede” for you.   Live as if you believe that you are saved.  Be the church that believes that they are saved completely.  Let you light shine so that others may see Jesus in you.  You will always be under attack because of this, but that is ok.  You are being Jesus to the world.

Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

54:11-17 Let the people of God, when afflicted and tossed, think they hear God speaking comfortably to them by these words, taking notice of their griefs and fears. The church is all glorious when full of the knowledge of God; for none teaches like him. It is a promise of the teaching and gifts of the Holy Spirit. All that are taught of God are taught to love one another. This seems to relate especially to the glorious times to succeed the tribulations of the church. Holiness, more than any thing, is the beauty of the church. God promises protection. There shall be no fears within; there shall be no fightings without. Military men value themselves on their splendid titles, but God calls them, Wasters made to destroy, for they make wasting and destruction their business. He created them, therefore he will serve his own designs by them. The day is coming when God will reckon with wicked men for their hard speeches, Jude 1:15. Security and final victory are the heritage of each faithful servant of the Lord. The righteousness by which they are justified, and the grace by which they are sanctified, are the gift of God, and the effect of his special love. Let us beseech him to sanctify our souls, and to employ us in his service.

It is amazing the difference between believing in Jesus and actually “being saved”. I found that out a couple years ago and yes, all manner has changed. Sometimes I slip in one way or another but as soon as I do I always apologize to God for being so human. Before I lived completely on edge constantly and now I have peace in my life and forgiveness in my heart. Sure, I can still be angered but it goes away almost as fast as it comes and I don’t have to apologize to people for saying things I shouldn’t have said whether that is what I thought or not. Life is much easier to live at peace than when your heart and soul are in constant turmoil.

Yes I agree with you. We are not perfect beings, but having a forgiving spirit gives us much peace. I wish that I could pour that concept into the minds of so many people. We will struggle with our flesh constantly. Why? Because the devil is determined to cause us to slip and or slide. However, the power of the Holy Spirit is far more powerful and the more we submit to it the less we are to blast people out of the water with our words; create confusion and mayhem everywhere we go; or live in a state of constant turmoil. Remember that testing is going to feel like turmoil sometimes. We just have to remember that this too will pass. Remember Job – that is my response to myself and to others when they are embroiled in a serious test of faith. Hiding away from the world does not grow us. Avoiding conflict does not grow us. Pretending that the conflict does not exist does not grow us. Condoning sin does not grow us. Just those few sentences alone may make us feel as if we will always be in conflict..well the reality is that the minute you stand up for what is right you will be in conflict. God does not accept mediocrity. We are saved and we are saved completely..but we are not saved to do our own will. We are saved to carry out the 2 great directives of God. Easier said than done, but done it must be…I know that makes no sense..it is just a pun.
