You still have hope!

“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” Colossians 1:27-28 NIV.
I KNOW IN MY SOUL NO MATTER HOW BAD IT GETS IT WILL BE ALRIGHT!!

God had his chosen people Israel, but he determined before the foundations of this earth that there would be a way for the gentiles–that is us if we are not descendants of Abraham–would come to know him. (Genesis 12:3).  God has given all people hope.

I am so grateful that God’s word never returns to him void! We all have hope of a better future.  Of a time when we will be permanently united with the Heavenly Father in his place of residence.

So, if you have lost a loved one, or are in the process of losing a loved one please remember this one thing. No matter what is going on around US! Remember that grieving is a process. It takes time.  However, when people keep bringing negative into your grieving process it sears your heart and the pain becomes more intense. There is too much of that going on among families.  I have talked to several people this week and counseled them about letting go of things that are bottled up inside of them.

Remember that a funeral is about the person who has past on to their final resting place. It is not about the people who been left behind. We are there to say our final good byes in a public place. It is a day to honor the memory of the person who has left this planet. To celebrate their life and their accomplishment….not publicize our need for attention.  In the midst of our pain and grief also remember that the hope that God promised you  was the place where you will finally rest in him.  That will only occur if you have been born again and have truly given your heart to the Lord. If you have done that then you, ” the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we [ The Egg Angels Ministry] proclaim[s], admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.”  That is the purpose of every Christian.

Yes, we have home a glorious hope and it comes from God our Heavenly Father.

“Father let the person who is reading this devotional know that they have hope. Their hope is in their faith and belief in your Son Jesus Christ. Allow them to experience the peace and love that comes from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name!”

It’s always better to have hope than to be the one who doesn’t believe for whatever reason and has no chance to change because of something “accidentally” happening. Too many I would think have that happen. “Yes, I know Jesus, but I have a lot going on right now so don’t have time for him”. That is a sad relationship with Jesus!!

You have hit the nail on the head Jeleane. However, if one truly knows Jesus he is NEVER secondary in your life. He becomes the focus of who you are and what you do. There are all sorts of Christians and we are not all at the same level in our walk with him. But we have to be willing to stop what we are so busy doing and start working for him…stepping out in faith is a hard thing to do.
