Now faith is.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).. I am so thankful for “now faith is”!

I would be lost if I didn’t have faith in the fact that with God all things are possible. Many times we find ourselves in situations wondering, “What in the world is happening here?”  Why are people so rude, obnoxious, insensitive, uncaring, devoid of basic human compassion?”  Then one realizes that humanity is that way because humanity has forgotten its creator and that it takes faith to keep him as the central focus of its goings and comings.

It always saddens me to know that this time of the year is the one time of the year when the loneliest people experience intense sadness.  The most depressed people consider suicide, and the lost of this world find themselves in some form of substance abuse.  Those of us who are the “called out ones” must be mindful of the fact that these people exist.  It is our spiritual responsibility to reach out to them in faith believing that God is able to heal all of the wounds that have cause these feelings of emptiness and worthlessness. Salvation was not given to us for us to keep to ourselves.  It was given to us to be living examples of “Now faith is…”  Read the rest of the chapter and you will see why it is essential that we are living examples of our faith not just people who write about it. (Hebrews 11)

Faith….one of the most difficult things to believe in yet the MOST important thing we can have. As you said this is the time of year when I think evil becomes more rampant than at just about any other time. We find we have more excursions by the military, the firemen and police are busier than ever this time of year. And, of course the Christians who go to church Easter and Christmas are now gearing up for their semi-annual trip to church. So many who take things for granted, and pass those of whom you speak, by as if they are no more than a distraction. This should be a humbling time of year…..our Lord and Savior will be “born” as He is every year at this time. Why is it, that so many celebrate this time of year and yet forget the true meaning?? Their faith is definitely shaken and too many times we have let things continue as usual due to not willing to speak out. I know when someone tells me Happy Holidays at this time of year I always come back with Merry Christmas and the smile on their face acknowledges what I know to be true. They have faith, but submit to the whims of those who try to be “politically correct” and that is something that needs to change!!

lol Jeleane… the number of people who chose not to post on this blog is an excellent example of how the “salt” has lost it flavor. We are all salt..but when we chose to stay in our shakers we are not of any use to the kingdom of God. Thank you for standing up and being a beacon of light. We added a new country to our list of countries by the way 🙂 Praise God for using this blog to reach the unreachable.
