The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer

8 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

²And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

³Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. ⁴The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. ⁵Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

The Trumpets

⁶Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

⁷The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

⁸The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, ⁹a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

¹⁰The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— ¹¹the name of the star is Wormwood.^[a] A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

¹²The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.

¹³As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

The events above sound so devastating that they seem impossible. However, they are not. THey will happen. Now the good news is that you do not have to experience any of this. Neither does a single member of your family. These events will only occur to people who do not know the Lord as their personal Savior. God loves his people he does not want a single person to have to go through this.

⁹The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (II Peter 2:9)
….Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” – 1 Timothy 2:4
Timothy tells us to ….”I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.” (I Timothy 2:1) Pray without ceasing for all men. But God made us with the will to choose what we do with our lives. He will never force us to follow him.
The bible tells us the Jesus died so that ALL human beings can come to the Father through him,”Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.(I Timothy 2:6:)
To ensure that humanity has a fair shake at redemption God sent his only son, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son–gave him to do what? to die for our sins, ” ”For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” John 3:16 Again in, Romans 8:32 “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

So, if you do not know Jesus what are you suppose to do so you can escape the horrific things that will be happening above, but more importantly so, you can develop a relationship with the maker of the universe? Just call out to him and ask him to forgive you of your sins. You could pray this simple prayer:
