Father we love you!

Heavenly, Father, I love with a love that no one can even begin to explain.  It has been a challenging year so far.  There are days when I wonder if I am staying within your will..then I read your word, and it tells me to believe that you are God and that my steps are ordered by you.  Then you confirm that you have set my purpose since the beginning of the world, and no one can change that course!

So I thank you Lord Jesus and I praise your holy name! You love deeper and lasts forever than human love. Your love is not conditional and the kind of love that says, “If you are who I want you to be I will love you. But when you are found wanting I will tell the world about it!”

I thank you, Father God that you are my judge and not man. I thank you for your grace. I thank you for your mercy..and I give you the praise!

I thank you for never abandoning me when I step off course.  You are God and there is none like you.  You are God and the whole world should know that.  We know that we are not perfect, yet you still love us!

Father I don’t say these things today to gain pity, but I am saying them because I know that there is at least one person who will read this who is in need of encouragement.  The world and their friends have beaten up on them so much that they are beginning to wonder if you still live in them.   Well, Father, I  know that you do and it is just an attack from the enemy.  Please, Father, let that someone know that they are not alone. They have brothers and sisters in Christ who are praying for them daily. Let them feel the strength of your will and the warmth of your love as you wrap your arms around. Let them know that when they fall off the path that you have placed them on you will pick them up!

Thank you for the strength to live as you would have us live father.  And give us the grace to be to others as you are to us AMEN!

Only Grace by Matthew West
From the album History

There is no guilt here
There is no shame
No pointing fingers
There is no blame
What happened yesterday has disappeared
The dirt has washed away
And now it’s clear

There’s only grace
There’s only love
There’s only mercy and, believe me, it’s enough
Your sins are gone
Without a trace
And there’s nothing left now
There’s only grace

You’re starting over now
Under the sun
You’re stepping forward now
A new life has begun
Your new life has begun

And there’s only grace
There’s only love
There’s only mercy and, believe me, it’s enough
Your sins are gone
Without a trace
And there’s nothing left now
There’s only grace

And if you should fall again
Get back up, get back up
Reach out and take my hand
Get back up, get back up
Get back up again
Ohh get back up again

There’s only grace
There’s only love
There’s only mercy and, believe me, it’s enough it’s enough
Your sins are gone
Without a trace
And there’s nothing left now
There’s only there’s only grace

There’s only mercy
and, believe me, it’s enough its enough
Your sins are gone
Without a trace
And there’s nothing left now
There’s only grace

So get back up get back up again
Get back up again.

Joyce, I find much, much comfort knowing God is my Judge. I know He is fair. I trust His justice.

Yes, it is inevitable we suffer as Christians. And, I just heard something this morning by Dr. David Jeremiah about how God’s Word tells us we do get weary as His kiddos. We do. I like his other references about how to stay focused when the weariness comes. It’s from Hebrews 12 (and these are some of my utmost favorite verses): 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.” 7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. 12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13 “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed
