My roommate called this morning from a town 30 miles away – she had lost her wallet. No credit cards but it contained debit cards for our personal and business bank accounts. I sent up a quick “please Lord help” and started finding phone #s to report cards as stolen. Once I knew they were cancelled I breathed a sigh of relief – knew replacing things like DL was a pain, and worried a little about identity theft, but still.
Anyway, I’m doing things around the house, and she’s not home yet, when I hear a horn honking. So I go and look – there’s a stranger coming up to the door who asks me if I’m (my roommate’s name) or does she live here? Yes, I say, she does. This lady is a bus driver in the town 30 miles away and had found the wallet in a fast food restaurant. She drove her personal car to my town to bring the wallet back. I asked her to wait so I could at least give her money for gas and she told me no, it was a God thing.
It surely was and I praise Him for it!
