June 18,2011 Sometimes you think you are doing the right thing……

Sad, Sad, Sad day for me today. Lord, help me to look up and see the things that you have in store for me. My niece and my three great nieces moved out last night. I am going to miss them like crazy but sometimes people are only here for a reason, a season or a lifetime. It is not up to us to determine which one that is. We can plant the seeds of Jesus Christ and we can open a window. But only God can bring on the rain of a strong relationship with Him and His Only Son.Only then can the rain, sunlight and God’s love begin the transformation that they pray so fervently for. I hope that my youngest niece’s flower blooms soon so that she can see the wonders of God’s work. Girls, don’t forget to say your prayers before bed and Grace before your meals. KiKi, you have it memorized and you can teach the other two. I love you all for now and forever. I speak and pray only the best for them and I speak and pray that You, Lord will bring someone into their life that can lead them down the right path to You and to the kingdom. Until then, please keep them safe from harm and all influences that will lead them down the wrong path. These things I pray in Your name Sweet Jesus Christ of Nazarene. Amen.

This Prayer can be said for my daughter who will moving back to Houston in the next week or so..We moved her here in March 2010 in hopes we could help her turn her life around and it has not happened..It has been a very tough time for my husband and I …My faith and spirit has been tried over and over and I know that God has been by my side all the way..I just pray that enough seeds have been planted and that with continued prayer she will see that God is the only one that can fill the void in her life…Thanks Wyn for sharing your prayer with me today..God Bless~

It is important for us to understand our roles in these situations. Our children make their own life decisions. We (me) included must stand back and let them come to the realization that the choices that they have made do have consequences.

All we can do is pray without ceasing for them. We are not and cannot bring about the kind of change in their lives that are necessary. They must develop a personal relationship with their Lord and maker. Transplanting them from the situations that they were in will not change them. It is so hard. God move Israel his sweet bride, his beloved from the hands of the enemy, from the depths of idolatry; but as soon as they could they reverted back to that way.

Who could have been more loving, more saving, more accepting than the Lord. Yet his people forsook him. He pleaded with then, “If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and seek my face—then will I hear from heaven and heal their lands”. Our children are the same. He had to leave Israel to reap what they had sown. They did not take the time to establish a personal relationship with their lord. Just read the book of kings. And this king did that which was right in their own eyes etc.,

In short when we find ourselves spending too much time trying to undo what significant others in our lives have done, it is time to back up and let the Lord deal with them. BUT NEVER EVER STOP PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING.!

Quite the appropriate and one of my favorite songs. Sorry to hear the kids and your niece have left as I know you were hoping that something would change their lives, but unfortunately as EM said, we can’t make them do what WE know is best for them. They have to find that themselves and we just have to love and keep praying for them.
