Things that hurt your soul!

We are judged by the words we speak.

Sometimes we think that it is ok to take part in course language and jokes that are socially acceptable, but violate God’s language code “whatsoever is pure etc.”  Many people have been ostracized for choosing to stick to God’s words and not participate in “colorful joke” or language that is unbecoming an ambassador of Christ. Stand on the Word of God and know that He stands with you on this issue.

Use God’s word to spread love not condemnation!

Do not fear!

When you pass through the fire I will be with you,
And the flames they will not overcome you.
Do not fear for I have redeemed you.
I have called you by name.
You are mine.

For I am the Lord Your God.
For I am the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I am the Lord. (Women: Do not fear.)
I am the Lord. (Do not fear.)
I am the Lord. (Do not fear.)
I am the Lord. (Do not fear.)
I am the Lord.

He sent His Son!

Saved not by might but by faith!

Paul said

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me (Ro 7:15-20).

Father, I know that you are well aware of this daily, sometimes minute by minute struggle. that we endure each day.  Our human thought life is contrary to your thoughts

“That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man.For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man” (Mark 7:20-23).

In Philippians 4:8 Paul implores us to develop a Christian thought life.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Paul is not telling us t think positive thoughts.  He is telling us to live lives that demonstrate the grace of God as exemplified by the fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Gal 5:22-24).

Because of your eternal love for us and the grace that abounds beyond our sins we do not have to completes acts of kindness, flagellation, unbearable sacrifices to receive your mercy and amazing grace. It comes simply by believing that Jesus Christ is Lord and our Savior. It comes by believing that although life is filled with struggles, You will always be there to get us through them. How? By your grace!

Be Still-He fights for us.

Sometimes we forget that we are not alone in this world of turmoil and deception.  When we find ourselves in a situation where it seems that all hope is lost we must remember that The Lord can preserve us from all evil and protect our souls, our families, and our belongings. His love is our yardstick for how we live and work with others. Not political correctness, not socialistic tendencies to espouse equity for all peoples, but fuels those thoughts with hatred and mayhem. Trust in the Lord – just be still and believe. He will deliver us.

The solution to all societal perceptions of inequity is love!

When we live lives of love instead of dissension we are showing others how to love like Jesus. When we love a person simply because they are a human being, we are being Jesus im disguise. Look for opportunities to love others as He loves us.

He bears our daily burdens.
