Oh so, you made a mistake? Don’t worry God has GOT This!

#Don’tWorry #GodisInControl #DoNotFear #Don’tBeAfraid

Are you having trouble sleeping because of all of life’s challenges?  Job said, ‘[You]hast granted me life and [Providence], and [your] visitation hath preserved my spirit.’ (Job 10:12 KJV). There is nothing that happens in this world that is not within the domain of God’s working. ‘Providence’ means God’s foresightforethought: or the way He maps out our future.  He is not a silent partner in our lives. He orchestrates it for us. Concerned about something? Remember that He is the author [write] and finisher [completer] of our faith. Nothing that we walk upon or into is a surprise to Him.

Yes, even the job that you thought you were going to get that was going to steer you into financial security, but it didn’t – well maybe there is something about that job that he did not want you to face. He is personally involved in the direction that your life is taking. Job knew that.

“Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again? Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. Thou hast granted me life and favor, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. And these things hast thou hid in thine heart: I know that this is with thee” Job 10: 9-12 KJV.

No matter how hard things may seem – HE has a plan for our lives. He is our fence. He is our edge of protection NOT JUST AGAINST spiritual assaults. Have we forgotten that HE is the ALMIGHTY? Social, political, geopolitical, natural disasters, financial, and health challenges can ONLY be solved BY THE ALMIGHTY. Trust HIM. No man has the God that He has – he is omnipotent! HE IS GOD!

He has charted a course for your life that no man, situation, circumstance, o momentum can change. Paul wrote, ‘In all things God works for the good for those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose’ (Romans 8:28).  Consider this “Can God use my mistakes for GOOD?” Yes, He is God. Nothing escapes Him. No matter what the problem, situation, threat, fear, calamity, illness He has ALREADY worked it out for my good. Do you believe it? That receive it and live it.

Prayer: Lord, you are omnipotent, omniscient, and all powerful. My life is in your hands.

ACTS: An Acronym Format About How to Pray.

#Adoration #Confession #Thanksgiving # Supplication #GrowingclosertoGod and #LearningHowToLoveAllPeopleBetter

(Unless otherwise cited all Scriptures in this devotional are from the King James Version of the Bible Public Domain.)

Frequently folks ask the following question, “How do I pray?”  They are not sure if they should just repeat Psalms 23. Some people think that they should just pray the sample prayer in the book of Matthew Chapter 3:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen”  Here is a simple acronym that will help you to develop an ideal prayer pattern.

ACTSWhat does each letter mean?

How do I pray using this Acronym?

AExalt Him

The New Testament also tells us that the people “Adored” Christ. “And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest” (Matthew 21:9). Talk to God about how much you love Him and how you appreciate everything that he has done for you and your family. Give Him the praise and adoration that people tend to give to their favorite movie, soccer, football, baseball, or performer.

confessTalk to God about your specific sins. Whether it is your hot temper. Your lack of patience with others that leads you to be rude or unkind with them. The spreading of gossip, or lies, etc., Be specific in your confessions. Don’t pray with the attitude “Well, God you already know how and when I sinned.” Pray like David, “He knew that he had sinned. However, in Psalm 51:10 David still prayed “create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” What about us do we not need a clean heart and a right spirit before God? Repent, confess, repeat. That is the life of an imperfect human being. We are called God’s righteous ones not because we are righteous, but because of His righteousness! Romans 3:23 reminds us that “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Right now you might be thinking “Thank Him? What for? I am sick! My child is sick! My husband is sick! Well, how about thanking Him for the mere fact that He remains faithful to you even when you step away from Him?  There is a time to bring those concerns to Him. But right now thank Him because He saw us in our “filthy rags” state and still loved us. He saw us living a sinful life and always loved us. He sees us in a bad attitude and still loves us. Thank Him because He, as part of the Trinity,  lives inside of each of us. Thank Him because you have a roof over your head, food to eat, a safe place to return home to and flesh and blood people who care about you! Thank Him for the blood of Jesus that will heal all of our diseases. Hallelujah.

Well, we are at the end of the acronym. This is the part that I love to do. Pray for every single person whom you know who has a need that has not been met. Pray for this nation> Pray for its leaders. Pray for your pastors and any and everyone who is in ministry anywhere. Why? The devil hates it when God’s people are reaching out to the unsaved, and he cannot stand it when a department in the church is growing. Why? The people are growing closer to God and learning how to love all people better. Pray for the needs of others. We have a prayer page on Facebook where prayer requests are prayed over. We have a prayer request contact form on this page.  Please use it. We want to pray for your needs too.  Please know that when you pray God hears you. Tell Him all about your needs, your sorrows just go ahead and tell it all to Him.

It is hoped that this acronym will rev up your prayer time with the Lord. SONG: He has remained faithful to His children. We must stay constant in our time with Him each day.

A prayer using the acronym.

Father, I love you, and I adore you. You are the Lord Almighty King and the creator of the universe. I give you all of my adoration and praise because there is no other name in the world that is worthy of my adoration and or my praise.

Father look down upon this your sinful child who has sinned [identify the sin here] and forgive me of this sin. I confess my sins before you and fall before your mercy seat where I will receive mercy and grace. Father, I plead the blood of Jesus over my sins of commission and omission and I thank you for the forgiveness that you have promised me. Father in Heaven I am so grateful for your loving kindness, and your mercy to me.  Even in my state of sin and despair you reached down and picked me up.  You cleansed by heart and gave me your precious Holy Spirit that teaches me and guides my footsteps.

I thank you for your Holy Word Father, the roof over my head, the food that you have provided for me, and the heart to love all people. I thank you for the friends you have placed in my life. I thank you for the loving, caring family that surrounds me with care and compassion. I thank you for my church family and the leaders in my congregation. I thank you for the very fact that I am able to think and reason with a clear and sound mind.

Dear Father, I know that you love your children and do not want to see any of them suffering. So, in prayer and supplication, I bring [name the person and their specific need] before your Holy throne, and I ask you to touch their body, heart, soul, and mind.  Uplift their spirit, Father. Show them how you have made way for them out of the situation that they are in. Through your word remind than that you are a God who heals all of our diseases. I pray for the leaders of our town, community, state, and nation. Father, guide their decision making to ensure that the decisions that are being made glorify you, protect your creation, and the people whom you have created. I pray that the power of the Holy Spirit will pour down upon them as it did in Acts 2. I pray that they will see clearly and lead justly like your servant King David. I ask all of these things Father know that you have never broken your promises to your children, and I thank you in advance for hearing and answering this prayer by and through the shed blood of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior-amen.
