GOOD MORNING: HERE IS TODAY’S PRAYER

Good morning, Everyone. Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Father in Heaven,

Thank You for Your Holy Spirit, Your constant presence and comfort in my life. I know You have given me spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities to use in Your service. Please stir up the spiritual gifts that You have placed within me…2 Timothy 1:6 NKJV. https://biblehub.com/2_timothy/1-6.htm

Please let me exhibit each fruit of the Holy Spirit in my life today and every day… Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV.https://biblehub.com/galatians/5-22.htm

Please work through me, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, to accomplish Your purposes and to draw people to You. Could you remind me that all I do is not of my power but of Your Holy Spirit, Lord, guiding my every action… Zechariah 4:6 NKJV.https://biblehub.com/nkjv/zechariah/4-6.htm

Abba, may the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through my life, and the lives of my brothers and sisters, today bring glory to Your name, Father. May our leaders, who claim that they are children of God, demonstrate their membership in Your kingdom by allowing the Holy Spirit to control their thoughts, their tongues, and their actions. Lord, this attitude of being nasty to people who are not of the same political persuasion is so childish. Abba, Your holy word tells us how to behave: Elaboration: Matthew 5:21-22 NKJV

.

https://biblehub.com/matthew/5-21.htmAbba, I know that Jesus connects anger and insults with the potential for judgment, warning against name-calling (such as “Raca” or “Fool”), as it reflects a deeper issue of disrespect and potential disregard for God’s law. Abba, empower me to live by the “Golden Rule!”

Matthew 7:12: NKJV.
The Golden Rule, “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them,” serves as a foundational principle for ethical behavior, and its application would naturally exclude name-calling. https://biblehub.com/matthew/7-12.htm

Eternal Consequences:
The passage in Matthew 5:21-22 suggests that unrepentant name-calling can lead to severe judgment, underscoring the gravity of such actions and the need for repentance.

Respect and Dignity:
The Bible consistently emphasizes the importance of treating others with respect and recognizing their inherent dignity as human beings created in Your image, Abba. Name-calling directly contradicts this principle, and we must strive to uphold it in our interactions. So, Abba, please keep us focused on the work. It is a privilege to be in a position of leadership; it is a sacred honor. Keep us focused on that, please, Abba, in the loving name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
