#Weakness #help
So many times we see people assuming that seeking assistance makes them appear weak. We must understand that seeking, and accepting assistance shows that we recognize that we are not people who are islands standing alone in the seas of humanity. Scripture reminds us that
Therefore I take pleasure (note pleasure) in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities (needing help or assistance) in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10 KJV.)
In our life challenges, we are emotionally and spiritually strong in the Lord. Also,
“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” (Isaiah 40:29 KJV.)
Even when we appear weak we are powerful in the strength of the Lord. Brothers and sisters helping each other in Jesus’ name is a powerful move of God. Don’t feel wimpy. Seek and accept help. Look at it this way, we are helping a person to exercise their spiritual gift when we allow them to help us.
Be thankful for the opportunity to receive it. Be happy about it!
Prayer: Lord give me a heart that accepts the strength that I receive from you and the helping hands that others extend to me.
