No love can be compared to His love!

It is a fact. Love is the greatest gift that we can give to another human being.

The most priceless gift that we can share with any human being is the gift of the Gospel. Why? It tells that person about the kind of love that they have never experienced before!

God’s love is faithful! It is the sum total of perfection, it is unconditional, lasting, all seeing, all knowing, all-encompassing, sacrificial, bold, ferocious, gracious, inspirational, filled with grace and hope, Due to its unconditional nature it remains the same regardless of our behavior, or character, gifts, and or abilities. We can never try hard enough to be worthy of it. God is the embodiment of love. We can never find ourselves in a place where His love will not reach us. That my friends is true never-ending, everlasting love.

Scriptural References:

16-18 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him. John 3: MSG

The greatness of His love for us is unparalleled.

11-15 “I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father. John 15 MSG.

Now he tells us how to love as He loves.

7-11 Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes! 1 Peter 4 MSG

Just in case we forgot how love is demonstrated He reiterated it in Romans 5

6-8 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him. MSG

David reminds us that He is not hot-headed

But you, O God, are both tender and kind, not easily angered, immense in love,
and you never, never quit. So look me in the eye and show kindness,  give your servant the strength to go on, save your dear, dear child! Make a show of how much you love me
so the bullies who hate me will stand there slack-jawed Ps 85: 15
As you, God, gently and powerfully
put me back on my feet.

Psalm 86:15 msg

“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Why is it the greatest? It fuels faith, and hope! It is the power that enables us to grow closer to God and love ALL people groups better! It is the one ingredient that eliminates apathy, racism, and the disenfranchisement of people groups, including the impoverished. It is the one ingredient that changes how a ruler governs.
