He is majestic – yet he forgives

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

We know that he is God, and yet is divested himself of his power and majesty and suffered for our sins. Are we willing to do that for people who HATE us. If is the most precious gift that anyone could give another…that of giving their life for someone – let alone someone who hates them. He sustains ALL life, that is every form of life that exists in the universe–stars, rocks, nebulae, people, plants, bugs etc., YET he sits at the right hand of his father and says, “Forgive Joyce – she is just a little upset today-she knows not what she is doing – etc,” BUT more powerfully the father says, “She is forgiven, because you gave your all for her!” Are you thankful for that forgiveness? Are you willing to share your freedom with others?

Somehow I missed this devotion notification in my email 😦 Yes, of late I’ve thought lots about the immense forgiveness God offers through Christ. Lots! To keep saying over and over how thankful I am for this forgiveness and what it cost our Savior, well, could be redundant on my part. BUT, I AM THANKFUL AND WORDS DO NOT EXPRESS THIS GRATITUDE I FEEL INSIDE. I’ve been “challenged” lately by someone to talk more about how God’s sustained me through childhood to now. There are lots of choices I could have made and have not because GOD saves me from them. I won’t go into those here. Just know I truly am waiting on hearing the Lord’s voice on what He wants me to do next. There is something He chooses for me to do. I just do not know what that something is and if that includes going in an entirely different direction to finally open up and speak what He’s done in me, then so be it. I will throw off the trepidations and go forward with Him. I am just trying to make sure this comes truly from Him and no one else…meaning me or a well-meaning friend.
