Dear Father God, Holy is Your name. This song, ‘Spirit of the Living God,’ written nearly 100 years ago in 1926, is based upon the promise of Jesus in John 14:16-18 NKJV… https://biblehub.com/p/nkjv/niv/john/14.shtml Abba, Jesus declared that He would pray to… “the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to You.”
Abba, today it is a powerful reminder of the Holy Spirit’s role in our lives, and it is my first prayer request to You on this new day: Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on me. Search me, try me, and consume anything in me that is not of You. May I go through this day reassured by the constant presence of the Holy Spirit. I thank you sincerely, Abba, for Your mercies that are new every morning- just because we are not consumed despite our sinful nature-Abba..”We are not consumed, because (Your) compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Hallelujah toYour name. Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV. https://biblehub.com/nkjv/lamentations/3-22.htm
Thank You, Lord Jesus. Thank You Emmanuel-our God who never leaves us – for coming so that we may have life and have it abundantly in You…” I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 NKJV. https://biblehub.com/nkjv/john/10-10.htm
- I pray that You will be the Comforter and Healer for those WHO ARE experiencing loneliness and loss this Christmas. I pray that You will be the guide and the shelter for those who are feeling vulnerable and lost.
I pray for those who are anxious and uncertain- that You will be their Good Shepherd and Hope. Thank You, Emmanuel, God with us, for being the one and only God, our God who comes to us.
Thank You for surrounding me with reminders of Your goodness—in the beauty of this new day, the love of my family and friends, and the hope of the coming spring. Your promises remain alive and well- even in the heart of winter. I am especially grateful for the Spirit-filled team members who know that you are the Lord of their lives and are listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit. I am doubly thankful for the women of God whom You have placed in my life to comfort, encourage, uplift, and advise me when I need support. Abba, I am thankful for my daughters and grandchildren, who love me dearly. I pray that the Holy Spirit will never stop speaking to their souls and that they will fully embrace Your call on their lives. Also, Abba, I pray that as our educators and precious children break for the Christmas holidays, they will use this time to connect with family members, rest, relax, and rejuvenate their souls, preparing them for the rest of the school year. I pray for emotional, psychological, and spiritual peace for this nation. I pray that Your hands of mercy will be upon those who do not know You and that the Holy Spirit will continue to nudge them to stop, look, and listen to the voice of God. With all my gratitude, I pray, these things in the holy name of Jesus, Amen.
