Good morning. Here is a prayer for today.

Dear Abba,

Please guide me and shape me each day. I come to You with a humble heart, knowing I need You at the center of my life. Friends may come and go, but Your friendship lasts forever. Proverbs 18:24 NKJV reminds me that to have true friends, Your children must also be friendly. Still, the most important friendship anyone can have is with You, Lord Jesus, our eternal friend. You are my friend and Father, Abba. Jesus has always been closer to me than any relative, past or present.

Abba, I am grateful for my friends here on earth. They encourage me when I am down, share scripture, and talk with me. Help me be as encouraging to them as they are to me. I ask You to shape my soul to reflect Your love. May all Your children, including me, see Your work in us as something precious this morning. Let us draw near to You, trusting that You will draw near to us. James 4 NKJV.

Today, I will follow my usual routine, but it feels special because I get to spend time with someone important. Father, I pray for those who travel through traffic each day to work with our children. These children need them. Please give these workers the strength to reach the hearts and minds of the children. I also ask You to renew their spirits this morning, just as You do for me, so they feel refreshed and ready for today’s educational challenges. Let them feel empowered and know that You care about their hard work. Remind them they are not alone.

Teaching is hard, Abba, and no one understands this better than You. From the beginning, when You taught Adam and Eve in a perfect setting, people have struggled with learning. When Christ was on earth, the religious leaders refused to listen to and follow His teachings. Later, the apostles taught about You and faced opposition. Teachers today also face many challenges. They are both fragile and strong, precious vessels and warriors for truth. If their strength is fading, please renew them, Lord. Lift their burdens and fill them with the light and encouragement of Your word. Abba, February is a tough month when students often lose focus, but it is also a time when reteaching is needed. Please open the minds and hearts of educational leaders to follow Your will and guide their decisions so children get what they truly need, not just what adults think they need. Obedience to Your will is the only way for us to live, even though we are not perfect.

Sometimes I fall back into old ways of thinking, feeling selfish or ashamed. Even when this happens, Father, I don’t want to stay that way. I want to follow what Paul told the Ephesians. He reminded them to “put off” their old ways born of wrong desires. Ephesians 4:22-23 NKJV.

Thank You for giving me new life and hope, Abba. Even though I fall short, You let me start fresh each day, covered by Your righteousness. Every morning, I am comforted by how You keep renewing me. Revelation 21:5 NKJV.

Thank You for this new life. Each day is a chance to share Jesus’ love. Your love is unconditional; it does not depend on what we do, but on Your invitation to a relationship that shapes us into the children You want us to be. You invite us to come to You for peace. You tell us to talk to You about life, and You remind us that life is already ours. When we admit our sins and accept Your sacrifice, Jesus, You become our living hope. Thank You, my Lord and King, for being my living hope! I want to live this way every moment. I want this for my daughters and grandchildren, too, Abba. I believe it and receive it in Jesus’ name, amen!
