Prayer for Today

Good morning, friends. I hope your day is full of peace and joy. Here is today’s prayer.

Dear Lord God,

Thank You for filling the world with beautiful things that amaze me. Abba, as I go through today, help me see Your glory in everything around me. Holy Spirit, help me notice the work of Your hands everywhere. Nothing people make can compare to the flowers, plants, animals, and people You have created. Last night, I looked up at the sky and saw the moon shining through the trees behind my home. It reminded me that You are our amazing creator and that “all things work together for our good.” I praise You for that promise, Abba. Your goodness is greater than I can imagine. Holy Spirit, help me see each person I meet today as Your creation, made in Your image—male and female. So God created man in his image; in the image of God, he created them; male and female, he created them. Genesis 1:27 NKJV. https://biblehub.com/nkjv/genesis/1-27.htm

You did not create us by accident. You made us male and female so humanity could continue until Your return. You created life when You made Adam and Eve, and then gave us the gift of bringing new life through women. This is a great blessing. You clearly defined our roles, Abba, and I thank You. Abba, let Your ways guide my thoughts today, on day 2 of this Daniel fast—a time of prayer and simple eating inspired by the prophet Daniel. Guide my words from my thoughts to my mouth. Please teach my heart to seek and submit to You. “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.” Psalm 139:1-2 NKJV. https://biblehub.com/psalms/139-1.htm

I pray that Your Holy Spirit will quieten anything in my heart that keeps me from hearing You. As I prepare for today, I know many people are praying that I lead as You want. Lord, it is easy to give in to the desires of the flesh. I do not want drama in any situation. So I ask that You, Holy Spirit, guide and direct my words so they fit my roles and honor You and Your kingdom. Thank You for loving me, for another day, for family and friends, and for the chance to serve You by serving my community. I also pray for Congress and the President that they will heed Your wisdom and show true leadership and civility. Abba, the scriptures do not tell us to pray for our leaders so they can force everyone to worship You, but so we can do the work You have given us in peace. Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 NKJV. https://biblehub.com/1_timothy/2-1.htm

Abba, I invite everyone joining me today to pray for our leaders. Let us, as a community, stand together in hope and unity, trusting that our prayers can inspire wisdom and peace in those who lead us. I know that the prayers of the saints are powerful, and together, through faith and fellowship, we can strengthen our community and show Your love to all

Lord, I also pray for those who are sick and weak in our congregations. I ask for the healing hands of the master surgeon, “The Holy Spirit,” to touch their bodies and heal them of every disease according to Your will. “Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled.” Psalm 6:2 NKJV. https://biblehub.com/psalms/139-1.htm

Lord, I pray that my children and grandchildren will come close to You and serve You with joy. I pray for my Auntie, that Your will be done in her life. She has always been a kingdom warrior, Abba. Please bless my cousins and help them make the decisions they need to during this hard time for their mum. I pray these things, believing that when I seek You with all my heart, I will find You. Jeremiah 29:12 NKJV. https://biblehub.com/nkjv/jeremiah/29-12.htm

In the inspiring, protective, and loving name of Yeshua HaMashiach, I pray. Amen.

NB: Dear friends, I invite you to share your prayer requests. Please share your needs or the names of those you’d like us to pray for. By sharing, we build a caring community that supports one another through prayer and lifts each other up in faith. Just send us a message.
