You Are Not the Only One

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for Your generous Holy Spirit. Because of Your great love for me, You have given me everything I need. Because of Your loving, Generous Holy Spirit within me, I will, in turn, love and give generously to You and to others, experiencing the profound joy that comes from giving. Please show me how You want me to be generous like You, whether through financial support, emotional comfort, or physical aid. “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 NKJV.

Father, please guide me to actively seek opportunities to be generous and compassionate to others. Please show me how to…..

• Give a meal in the name of Jesus,
• comfort those who mourn,
• Pray for those who are sick and suffering,
• Give my time and resources to someone in need,
• show mercy to others as You have shown mercy to me,
• Share your love and salvation with everyone,
• Speak your Truth in love at all times. Lord, I have failed miserably at this many times.
• Use every opportunity that You give me to be a blessing to others as a means of honoring and glorifying You, oh Lord.

Please help me see the specific needs around me, open my heart to those needing financial support, emotional comfort, or physical aid, and prompt me to act. “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 NKJV

Father, I pray that I will allow Your transformative love to flow through me and bless others in Jesus’ name so that they will come to realize that it is not me, but the Jesus in me, that is reaching out to them and that they, in turn, should glorify and honor You for all that You have done in their lives. Pray that we will teach our children that compassion begins in their souls and then goes out to others in distress. In the glorious and praise-worthy name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
