Good morning, Friends; here is today’s prayer…

Dear Jesus Christ, my Lord, Savior, and King;

Thank you for teaching us how to be “great” in Your Kingdom…

You told us that whoever wants to be great among us should be a servant to others. If we want to be considered first among others, we should become their slave, just as You did not come to be served, but to serve others, and be willing to give our lives as a ransom for others. Matthew 20:26-28 NKJV.

Adonai, the call to serve others as You did is indeed a high standard. It’s not natural for us to serve without expecting recognition or reward. Yet, You showed us the joy and fulfillment that comes from selfless service. You set the example of how we can and should serve others and how to love them unconditionally. Help us to find joy in serving, just as You did. Abba, I humbly present myself to You as Your devoted and loving servant. My desire is to serve without seeking recognition, Lord. Let Your will, not mine, be done in my life each day. Luke 22:42 NKJV

Father, I bring before You my dear friends and family members who have yet to know You as their Lord and Savior. I pray that the Holy Spirit will open their hearts and minds to Your truth, and that they will respond with a resounding ‘Yes, Lord. Your will be done!’ I pray for their well-being and spiritual growth, Lord. I pray that the desire to serve the King of Kings will ignite within them, fueled by the power of Your Spirit and the strength of our prayers. Matthew 6:10 NKJV Hallelujah!

Abba, I also pray for our leaders that they will understand that leadership is not about them. It’s about You working through them, Abba. Leadership is not about their accomplishments, but rather about what You do through them for the people they are leading. Abba, may Your power fall on them so that they can see that every decision they make impacts the lives of the people whom they lead and incidentally the people who live around the people whom they are leading. May the Holy Spirit guide them to listen and heed His voice. Isaiah 30:21 NKJV. Glory to Your name, Lord.

Father, use me today for Your glory! Father, I praise You for every little and great thing I accomplish today. I will joyfully praise You for each one and give You all the glory. Father, thank you for providing our county’s children with nourishing free lunches during the summer months. I pray that the same children will have an opportunity to feast on Your Holy Word during VBS this summer. I hope they have opportunities to attend every VBS happening this summer. They need to be among other children who are seeking, searching, and hearing about You, Abba. Children also need faith, hope, and love. I pray that You will reunite families that have drifted apart, Abba. VBA can do that in such a powerful way. Deuteronomy 6:7-9 NKJV.

Abba, please, touch the bodies of my brothers and sisters who are dealing with cancer and other health concerns. James 5:15. Apply the blood of Jesus Christ to their ailments, Abba, so that Your name will be glorified, and Your presence will be felt by even their doctors. James 5:15 NKJV.

I give You the praise, glory, and honor due to You, Abba, because I know that You hear and answer prayer in this century too. Thank You for blessing me with Your love, power, and presence. In the beautiful name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
