Dear Heavenly Father,
You are the loving Father of the Fatherless, the defender of widows, and from Your throne on high, You see everything that happens on earth. Psalm 68:5. Abba, I pray for those who have a void in their lives where a father’s love should be present, regardless of their gender or age. I pray for those who have never known a father, those whose fathers abandoned them, those whose fathers may be away for an extended time, those whose fathers are no longer living, those who are estranged from their fathers, those whose fathers are too busy for their family, those whose fathers are abusive…whatever the reason, I pray for You to be accepted by those persons as a loving Father of the fatherless.
I pray that each person reading this prayer, and even those with an excellent earthly father in their lives, will look to You, Yah, as their generous and kind heavenly Father who created us all and loves us unconditionally. Your love for us is not based on anything, but it is freely given, a gift of grace and mercy, not something we can earn or even deserve. Ephesians 2 4-6.
Yah, You are our Heavenly Father who loves us eternally and cares enough to correct Your wayward children, speak to our hearts, and guide us by the Holy Spirit and Your Word. Yah, I know that out of Your Fatherly love for us, You sent Your only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins. I praise Your name because Your arms are open wide to embrace us as You run to us when we abandon our prodigal behavior and turn to You, as Jesus taught us… Luke 15:20.
Abba, as many young men and women complete their public school education this month, I ask for Your guidance. Some of them have no father figures in their lives. I pray that You send them mentors, inspired by the Holy Spirit, who will help them understand that they are worthy of genuine love from a male figurehead. These mentors will teach them how to be men of God, as outlined in Titus 2:2-8. Their role is crucial in shaping the understanding of Your love in these young hearts.
Father, this world is in a state of chaos. The men in positions of power have forgotten that they do not have absolute power. I implore You to show Yourself to them, so they can understand that the buck stops with You. You put people in positions of leadership, and You can take them down, too. I ask You to teach them how to think before they speak and remind them that all of the young men in this nation are looking to them to be examples of Godly manhood. Your divine intervention is needed in this chaotic world. Psalm 121.
Abba, may we all know You as our loving Heavenly Father, the Father to the Fatherless, and may we feel Your strong embrace today. In the holy name of Yeshua Hamashiach, I pray, Amen.
